Dear Friends, Members and Colleagues,

We are very pleased to invite you to the 52nd SIDO - 18th AIDOR International Congress that will be held on 11-13 November 2021 at the majestic Renaissance Fortezza da Basso in the heart of the fascinating and elegant city of Florence.

It will be a unique event, full of high-profile scientific content and social moments to share, so let's go and “Fall in ... SIDO”. A slogan that expresses the desire to “Fall in ... Love” again with our wonderful Society and finally live together our spectacular Fall Congress.

As confirmed by the success of the International Spring Meeting in Naples, collaboration and synergy are the winning elements! Thus, SIDO & AIDOR, SUSO & ASIO, ORTEC & AIOT will be together again to welcome you to this unforgettable event in which, under the aegis of SIDO, all orthodontic forces will interact in unison.

In addition, other important Societies will join the Congress including the Society of Biomechanics and Segmented Orthodontics (SIBOS), the Italian Association of Gnathology and Orofacial Pain (AIGeDO) and the Italian Association of Lingual Orthodontics (AIOL) along with Dental Hygienists and Dental Assistants (ATASIO, ASO). The goal is to work as a Team to face and overcome challenges, especially during these critical times!

It will also be a special privilege to host the Boards of the WFO and the FEO.

The aim of the Congress is to provide the most up-to-date scientific and clinical information, broadening horizons, in order to perform the most effective and efficient orthodontic treatments. We will have three full days to share cult topics in orthodontics! More than 100 excellent national and international speakers will lecture showing new perspectives led by the most innovative diagnostic and therapeutic techniques in the attempt to answer unsolved questions.

The choice is very wide, ranging from Sessions on Class II, Open Bite and Clear Aligner Treatment to the Pre-Congress Courses on OSAS, Finishing, Interdisciplinary Treatment and Esthetic and Functional Goals. There will be updated courses on Skeletal Anchorage, Gnathology and Orofacial Pain, Lingual Orthodontics that, along with additional courses dedicated to Dental Technicians, Dental Staff and Trade Union Organizations, will complete the Congress program.

The Poster Session will also contribute to expand orthodontic knowledge: special prizes will be awarded for the best rankings.

Moreover, there will be social events that will allow us to fully enjoy this fantastic Congress. On Thursday afternoon, the Opening Ceremony and the Get Together will welcome us while, on Friday evening, the President's Reception followed by the SIDO Party will make us relive the magic of being together again.

This Congress is an opportunity not to be missed: it will allow you to stay in company, socialize and exchange views and opinions in a pleasant and "smart" environment. And Florence is the ideal location to restart in presence! It is one of the most enchanting places in the world, rich in countless artistic beauties.
